Thoughts About Maverick.......

So now that Cedar Point is officially open, I'm sure many of us have had the opportunity to see Maverick for ourselves. I am rather surprised that Maverick's theming and overall design has exceeded the expectations that i had before seeing it for myself on opening day. As I made my way across Frontier Trail to the beautiful newly constructed section of the park where Maverick sits, I was truly mesmerized by Maverick's beauty. The first part of the ride i saw was the drop and the tunnel that would launch the trains out at high speeds across the man-made body of water it stands upon. The queue lines and building look as if they had been there for many years and it helped to support the atmosphere that one senses when walking through Frontier Trail. You could even smell the wood so strongly as you approached what was once White Water Landing. As you pass the queue lines and make your way left towards the Meanstreak, you can't miss the incredible view on your left-hand side. What you witness is a colossal roller coaster that seems to intertwine within itself. Just staring at the silent and deserted roller coaster made me quiver. It showed me that Maverick would not be a easy feat to ride and it would truly be challenging and exciting. The overall design and scenary live up to the name Maverick. The fake rock walls and trains help to encompass the overall theme of Frontier Trail. What was once one of the dullest and most boring areas of the park, stands now as one of the most lively and exciting places. I got the chance to sit in the test seat and i must admit that it was very comfortable making it almost better than a lapbar. Just having the chance to be in Maverick's prescence has made me more excited and grow with the anticipation till the day Maverick is unleashed at Cedar Point.

I wonder if Cedar Point will actually be able to complete everything before the ride actually is completed.

I highly doubt that the scenery we saw in the animated videos will be ready. Although, maybe thats why they delayed it?
